Well folks, we did it! The first annual CoTTORA Swap Meet drew roughly 150 people and several major vendors. We ate well, got sunburnt, bartered and traded, and showed a lot of people a good time!
Officially, the club broke even in regards to profit. We were able to sell some Cottora T-Shirts and give away some awesome prizes. Temperatures reached triple digits, but that didn't discourage people from attending and having a good time, including people from Colorado4X4.org and Yotatech.
I really have to represent our sponsors, who donated some incredible prizes...Big thanks to Armorology, ToyTec Lifts, Tanner 4X4, 4Wheel Parts, CARQUEST Filters by WIX, and All Phase OffRoad. Thank you to all the vendors who came by and made our show look respectable. And thank you to the Toyota FJ Trail Team, which gave out some awesome freebies and brought some fine looking rigs.
Thanks to Tenille and Kacey and everybody else who washed trucks. They washed about 14 of them, out in the triple digit temperatures, and they looked great...(the trucks and the girls).
And thanks to all the club members who attended and who helped with setup and operations throughout the day. Thanks Mike out of Colorado Springs and his bro for helping out with the setup in the morning. Thanks Dave for running the raffle table despite a mean hangover. Thanks to Molly, Troy, Vinnie, Loren, and Doug @ ToyTec Lifts for help w/setup, and thanks to the JeffCo Fairgrounds people who were very helpful. And a welcome goes out to all the new club members who attended, like Micah and his new 2006 Tacoma. Stay tuned for a trail run
Here's something funny. This is how the swap meet got started, with this post by Tat2dguy01 on March 31:

It's hilarious to watch the thing slowly develop into the huge event that took place yesterday.
And finally, much thanks goes to Will and Rich, who were on top of things the whole time. Good job guys, you deserve recognition.
