Wheeling Near Show Low?

My dad is buying some land up in Show Low, about 40 acres and I was wondering if there is anything up there to wheel or scenic palces you will need 4x4 to get to? I'm trying to convince him to find an IFS pickup that is beat up for cheap and cut the fenders out, lock the rear and slap on some 33s. Then he can just leave it out on the land and use it when he's out there. When I come visit I wouldn't mind taking the truck and doing a little "exploring." He lives in Mesa too so if the truck was ever at his house I could take it out from there.

There is some nice wheeling out there. Depends on exactly where, but you usually do not have a problem finding good wheeling/scenic trails here in sunny Az.
