Table Mesa Cleanup 4-19-2008

Thanks to all that showed up to help. First we went to the same spot as last October, but some shooters were there filming a music video about responsible shooting, with the property owners permission. BLM wanted us to clean that site, but since it was private property, we moved on. We finished the day with the guys extacting the an upside down utility truck from the creek. 4 winches were barely enough to get the frame free from utility box. Here's a pic of Kaistie dragging what was left of it on the way out. BLM provided deep dish pizza and wings for lunch.

Here's the link to all my pics

Good day of cleaning. Maybe next time we can get the rest of that service truck! The tree growing out of it was a good indication it had been there a while...

That was a great cleanup again!! Thanks Mark, it was good meeting you out there again and all the other guys. I have a ton of pics but I had to work today so I will upload them to my server when I get home.

BTW, the lady running the show out there stopped me afterward to talk and we hit on the buried truck issue, ended up giving her and area to find it and she is going to look into getting a loader out there to dig ou the rest, the guy helping her also hit me up and said it was a great job you guys did bringing in the fram portion as now LEO can try and get a VIN and possibly verify another stolen vehicle. Kudos to all, I had a blast and will get the pics up soon!!!!

No problem. I'm glad we could get you back up & wheelin' and still hit another trail afterwards

That was a good group we had out there. Thanks to everyone for getting me through those trails. Hopefully I'll do a little better next time

For sure good times. Good to see everyone I saw out there. And Mike, you should have stayed, we hit DS, Predator, Annihilator, and Anaconda today. Nate learned from yesterday and had 0 problems except the 2 Annihilator falls. I'll get my pics from today up soon. I didn't take any yesterday, maybe Rich or Sean took some? What about the other Mike(with Drew) and the lady? Anyway to get ahold of them cause I saw the lady taking a BUNCH of pics.

Cleanup went well again this go round, lots of great people showed up and we had a blast as well as taking out a lot of trash. We worked a little in the main shooters hole but we found out that is private property and they had given permission for use of that area to a group doing a music video. They were really cool about things tho, great group of guys, their name is HogJaw and you can see a little of them at http://www.myspace.com/hogjawband basically a southern rock band, good stuff!! The lead singer owns the video company doing it and he said they also make 4Lo videos and other 4x4 stuff.

Anyway, on with the pics

Wow, I missed Ed Melendy's CJ? That sucks. Does it remain with his boys? Was Rhea out there? Dang it.
