Mike, I have a lead on some 5 ton reachlift axles that might work for you. I am starting to think that you do this shit on purpose. No one can have that much bad luck and good fortune at the same time.

Linked, locked, and blown one ton monster on 40's!!

If you guys can show me how to get a Rockwell under a moon buggy...I'll do it! My new axle is already in the works after one day on the phone...will be duplicating Shannon Campbells rear axle, with a little different link mounts.

Well,,I'd rather you duplicate Shania twain's rear end but, if you must, then Mr. Campbells should work good too!

I have a welder, plasma cutter and a good imagnation, I'm sure we could make Rockwell's work on your Moon buggy

hmmm,,,,"Franken Buggy" THIS,,,COULD,,,WORK!!!

So no one said anything about the rust on the tube? That puppy has been cracked for quite some time... Those are supposed to be a real tight press fit.

You can see it real well here before the gear oil wets it down:

Nice job though, I'll bet when you cracked it the first time was some good abuse as well

Oh I have no doubt in my mind this wasn't a catastrophic failure that happened all at once. I am sure, without a doubt that it has been fatigued for awhile and just happened to let go while I was the "lucky owner"! Bottom line, it's not the right axle for the job period. It will be corrected and made much better in the process, which is basically what we do with every failure any way...life goes on!

That link setup is also constantly trying to break the axle right where it broke- not that it's a bad design, it's just going to try to bend the thing right in the middle under articulation and simply stepping on the throttle, whether the tires are bound up or not. I'm sure you'll take that into account with the new axle though- I'll stop stating the obvious You and Miller probably talked about it for hours
