Table Mesa Cleanup

Thanks to Ronn and Tristan for coming out and helping represent TTORA at the Table Mesa Cleanup Saturday! I wish we would have better represenatation from TTORA for such a worthwhile event.

The AZVJ Club retrieved a number of "vehicles" (what was left of them) from a couple of trails. Most everyone else spent time at the shooting areas that were covered in shotgun shells, trash and other items blasted to pieces.

Special thanks go out to the groups that planned this event! It was very well organized. In all, I estimate there were about 80 people that showed up to help out!

Thanks for posting the pictures... do you mind if I steal them for my personal website? It was great to see you out there this weekend. I really felt good about what we had accomplished that day. And I agree.... hopefully we can get a better turnout for the next event.

Or... How about this? Does anybody know of an area that needs cleaning? Maybe TTORA can plan their own cleanup event. Im sure we can organize it just as well as the one this weekend. It would take some work and a few volunteers, but I think it would be worthwhile. And get the TTORA name out there and show this state what our group is all about.

Have a great week,

Peace be with you!

Yogi

Don't mind at all if you "steal" a couple pics. Let me know if you would want the originals and I will email them to you.

It was great to see you and Shelly too! I did feel good to know that we at least gave something back - hell, it was only 4 hours (maybe more for you due to drive time)

I like the idea of a TTORA sponsored clean-up, somebody else asked about us maybe hosting a 1-2 mile stretch of highway somewhere and doing the clean up there. Something else for us to talk about at the next staff meeting....just need to pick a day for that one.

Sorry I couldn't make it. I had painters here painting all the drywall repair I had done Wednesday-Friday.

A hardly seen 1996 Tacoma with some goodies that I don't use.

I would have been there if I wasn't vacationing with the wife for our 10th anniversary (I don't think she would have wanted to pick up trash for that!)

..........I waived and honked as we drove by around 8pm Saturday if that counts??

I added Tim's pics to my website, and also added some information and captions.

There aren't enough "Nature Trails" cut through virgin dessert for the greenies to come help!
