Hackeberry 12-16-06

Tristan, TBag and I ran Hackberry today. I didn't take any pics, so I know this thread is worthless. But I thought I'd post up to let every one know that the main entrance into Powerline will be closed starting Monday. They are setting up a drill there right at the top before you drop in. They were bringing up the equipment as we were leaving. You may still be able to get in at the other entrance (further down the paved road), but I'm not sure. If that entrance is closed as well, you can always go in off of the 177. IMO, the loop just won't be as fun without the Powerline section.

Looks like it was a fun run. I'm sorry I missed it. I do have repair parts in route so I should be able to do the next one. Hopefully!!

The ledge out near the Powerline has been stacked quite a bit recently. I was just out there ~ 2 weeks ago. For the most part a new line avoiding the large rock is what people are using since its so stacked down in the bottom of the channel that runs alongside.

Didin't see it stacked anymore than it has been for the past 2 years. The line to the left of the rock have been used for 2+ years and is now groved pretty good.

There has always been a few rocks down there but nothing like I saw earlier this month. Its filled in completely with rocks.

It is groved in pretty good, enough to catch low hanging diffs.
