Unhappy Bad florence, Bad florence!

Here I am just waiting for it to be Monday so I can order some new coilover shafts... (already installed a new 1350 and a new upper link...)

Any pics of what later transpired?

Hey Jeff! Glad you made it back!!! Damn! You didn't waste anytime working on the truck!

I know some of the other guys have some pics, they'll probably post up Sunday. After you left, Uriel tried the same spot with a different result, but equally costly. Took us a bit longer to get him out of there. Afterwords, Uriel and I headed back to town while the others went to run X. Hopefully Mike, Eric and the others will post up some pics on Sunday!!

Great wheelin' with you!!

Yeah well my wife and kid are out of town until Monday night anyway so I have some time.. I'll have it all back together by Tuesday and spend the rest of the week doing a flat belly skid (thanks for the inspiration Miller..).

So I wasn't the only one to get utmost carnage? Thats comforting...

Lots of rigs yesterday.

Yesterday was filled with carnage. As best as I remember, cut tires were had by Matt(Tan XJ), Eric, Jake, and Carlos, but I believe I'm missing one or two others. We started off on Elvis. Everyone played at the first spot. The second area I took the far right line through the crack and got my front end up and out, but the gas tank found a rock. Next was TBob fall. I told Eric to take a picture for TBob and he said sure. I drove right up and he said, "you went up it to fast, I only got one picture." Well, Eric, my camera does not have a picture of me climbing that fall on it, lol. Jeff from Ballistic tried the crazy line on Elvis that Mike(Black YJ that will be in the first pic showing the hard line on Elvis) got in a couple months ago and had to get triple winched out of it. I told Jeff, "I've never seen anything good come from this spot." He broke his upper 3 link tower, both front coilovers, and a 1350 u-joint. Then Uriel gave that line a shot and broke the front output right out of the t-case and lost the front driveshaft. After seeing both of these, Larry(Buggy) drove right through it in about 5 seconds with no problems. Right on, done with Elvis. Got Jeff and Uriel on their way back to their tow rigs and Tim left with them. So we headed for X minus 3 rigs. Brandon(Green YJ) thought about leaving too, but we talked him into running X. Hey Brandon, how nice of us! I believe Brandon said, "If you're gonna run it, then I am too!" Cruised up X and I made it all the way to sharp left hand off-camber turn up the little fall. Just couldn't get up and over the ledge and had Eric give me a little help. Then got up the second ledge/fall and into the last part of the off-camber Z at the end and just couldn't get the little YJ to make that last spot. Eric can comment on how hard I was gettin it right there. Every one cruised up X until Brandon, in the same spot of the off-camber Z I couldn't get through, broke his rear driveshaft flange. Got Brandon out of there. Matt also crunched his C-pillar on the XJ and cracked some glass on X. From X, Brandon, Charlie(Blue TJ), and Rich(Rubicon) all headed home and the rest of us headed to UAX. Got to the cracks and Eric gave it a shot and got close to flopping it. He backed out and everyone took the bypass except Steve(Black stretched YJ) and Larry. Larry basically drove across the top of the notch. Right after the first notch, Matt found a BIG rock on the double ledge and bent his tie-rod into a ^ and broke a TRE off. Got some batteries and welding rod out and Steve welded it back together and braced it with some wrenches. Matt had a spare tie-rod. Got to the second notch and by now the sun was out of our sight but still barely light. Everyone took the "bypass" except Larry, who one again drove on the top of the notch. Good day of wheeling all together. I forgot I don't have working headlights so we had to make our way from UAX to Price Road at the 79 with one working warning light  On to the pics!

Mike on the nasty line of Elvis for reference

Eric on Elvis

Jeff

Steve

Charlie

Matt at the second obstacle

This is the far right line I took only to make it almost out and got hung up

Near TBob fall

Crazy line where the destruction began, Jeff's breakage

Hey Jeff, here's your driveshaft

And the upper 3-link tower

Eric trying to find a parking spot at the mall(actually part of the winching strategy to get Uriel out)

Larry making it look easy

How far I made it up X before the strap was needed, farther than everyone including me thought I would make it

Continuing up X

More on X

Carlos gettin some!

Matt almost to the end

Carlos

Air time

Mike

Another pic of Mike

Steve

Brandon right before breaking

Jake getting some air

Larry

Get it Charlie!

Eric getting tippy on the UAX notch

Steve showing us how to beat your bitch

About to climb up and out

Larry on a Saturday drive to the mall

Thanks! I give it my best shot. I don't think a basically stock Jeep has ever seen so much hell. I'm willing to try just about anything if I have just the slightest chance to make it, cause sometimes I do make it If I don't, I atleast give it hell in the process, WOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
