What a day it was - Mostly everyone showed up on-time - and we were gone by 8:45am - I somehow got chosen to lead the "easy" group and left 3 vehicles behind at the start.. miscommunication on my part ... and I know there is at least one person in a stock white wrangler who didn't think the easy run was all that easy - but I hope she forgives me. We stuck to the road trails and headed up to the top of the mountains, I thought there were enough "hazards" to challenge the new off-roader and stock vehicles without being crazy. Around noon we headed back to the entrance to meet up with the 3 I left behind, the group split up again before the trek back and some people left all together after that... once we hooked up with the other people, we ate lunch and headed back into the mountains on a quest to find "Dead Man's Chest"...

here are a few pictures from the run... all of the pics I took can be found at this link...

We drove through some great trails looking for for the easy group. The stock (?) Jeep Cherokee did an awesome job through the steep climbs and rock sections. I'll see what I have for pictures. My photographer, my 4 mos pregnant wife, was too busy trying to hold on and we didn't get too many. Thanks mpltclark for leading the 4 of us literally around and over the mountain. We had a great time!

Hmmm....... a jeep run on a yota board..? I love the "classic", " tilt the camera so the trail looks like it's at more difficult than it actually is, jeep picture". That's halalarious!

Does putting a towel on my seat to cover the holes count as an upgrade?

LOL, awesomeness. Cool that some people actually put their junk in 4wd, but is it just me, or does anyone else think these "trails" look like the access roads between trails in FJ? As in, even easier than Box Canyon...

He's probably talking about the the 5th pic down. Camera is tilted sideways making the Geap look like it's leaning.

Well Jim, I'm waiting to see your pics. Didn't you say you hit some good stuff? And we're just giving Buzz a hard time, we know the White Tanks has some trails to GET SOME on.

yeah I was talking about the fifth one down. I guess everyone was wearing cement boots so they wouldn't fall over because of the extreme angle of the world in that area.

Does putting a towel on my seat to cover the holes count as an upgrade?
