Went yesterday for the first time. Lines were not bad (<30 mins) on anything except Top Thrill Dragster, but Millenium Force was down. I think Raptor was my favorite, but all of them were good (the Mine Ride was a little disappointing)

We definitely need to have a get together out there. Tix were only $30 through AAA

most other rides are <30min lines unless you are there on a sunny summer saturday...
I've been there where the longest line was ~10 min, and also been there where the shortest line was > 60 min... (ok, not counting the mineride...lol)

btw, the mine ride is the first rollercoater to use steel tubular tracks...

Forgot the part about "Millennium Force was down" part. About every time I go there Millennium Force is down for a little while at least. I have been stuck on MF on the main hill Magnum on Main hill, Gemini just before the exit (the brakes jammed and they wouldn’t let us off till it was repaired), Raptor was stuck at second hill (brakes again) and some other coaster I have been stuck as well just can’t remember. There was nothing like sitting at the top of Millennium force for about 20 minuets just looking out at every thing.

What do you mean by backwards? They put the car on facing the other way, so you launch back first?

nope

the train doesn't make it all the way up... front car or 2 will, but the rest of the train doesn't, and it comes all the way back to the station ... backwords...

the controller then recalculates the mass of the train (with all the riders ofcourse), and launch a 2nd time after all the shutdown's have been reset...

you end up getting 2 rides for the wait of one ride...

I did it both directions... (forward first, and back first...)

don't suppose you saw any new supports or anything of the new coaster going in frontier town did ya?
all I know, there is at least one coaster going where white water landing used to be... perhaps two coasters???

Yeah, we rode Skyhawk, it was pretty cool. That air system must generate A LOT of power to move all that weight so fast.

There was just a cleared area - no supports or anything I noticed.

I was checking this out as well..
I was curious where the compressors were located as I did not hear them...

also curious as to the braking... does it recompress the air into the tank when it brakes?

I'de love to see the designs for it... pretty sweet pneumatics

on a physics side to sky hawk... kennywood has a smaller version called sky swing...

it has a smaller radius, and causes one to feel more air time... (perhaps it rotates further than sky hawk)
I liked both, but think I like the smaller version at kennywood better due to the more air time...

Magnum is the biggest rollercoaster I've ever been on, but not the scariest. That would be the indoor coaster at Six Flags in Cincinatti. I wasn't ready for that one!
