July 4th

The Oberlin fire works are held about 1000ft at most from my house and we have a clear view. I was wondering if any of you all would like to come over and enjoy the show with us. I will get a time frame once I get my hands on a copy of the local newspaper. Also they tend the make Hamilton rd one way from ST RT 58 to Pyle-South Amherst RD. The closer wonít affect coming to my house from 58 just leaving.

Fire works for Oberlin will be July 4th starting at dusk. They however havenít made the decision to shut one lane of Hamilton down yet, (they better other wise going to be a mad house). I would say Festivities at my place will start around 4-6 pm, I am not sure yet how man people are coming. Stephanie has invited her friends and co-works and my family will be there.

I see the Lorain fireworks are Tuesday night also ...

When the 4th is on a weekend, we should go 'wheeling at Wellsville, then down to Toronto for fireworks - some of the best I've ever seen.

Troy would you like TTORA folks at your place or mine? I still plan on staying home for the show kind of a tradition for me, also funny to watch how crazy some people are and what they will do to get up close. I am still waiting for a car to go down in the ditch and not make it out.

Garage
We have San Antonio downtown area, Sea World, Six Flags and not to mention some of the military bases will all be shooting this 4th! If you live in Helotes and on one of the larger hills, you could possibly see all of them.

Well, I am definitely having people from work over, the more the merrier. Traffic is INSANE and there's nowhere to park - unless you arrive by boat... but the fireworks are good, the location is great, and there will be beer and alcohol.

Well looks like it is up to you. I donít think this is going to be any type of formal TTORA meet or anything. I believe most people will be with family and friends or just have old traditions like me. The traffic for Oberlin isnít so bad and wonít get bad till around 9 or so. Oberlin fireworks probably arenít as great as Lorain and probably donít last as long. You can some times see Wellingtonís fireworks and a couple others from my house as long as they lunch them high.

Maybe flip a coin and see who gets Una, Andy might not like it though.

Troy do they shut down roads and direct traffic in Lorain?

No - I don't think so. Maybe over near the Lakeside Marina (where they actually launch them), but not in my neighborhood...

I just want to get an idea of who all it coming over on the 4th? I have to buy food and drink any requests will be noted and I will try to get what you all like. Troy you are more than welcome to swing by earlier in the day if you like and say hi to us all. I could get off my but and come up to Lorain, but that again would require me getting of my but to drive. Well so far TTORA wise Steph, Una, and me.

off work today as well, my boss gave us the option of either taking today off (getting a 3 day weekend) or taking tomorrow off. I went for the 3 day weekend. If I had thought about it I would have asked about taking Wed off instead, then I'd be a little more inclined to go celebrate with the rest of you guys.

Yeah regrettably have to watch it with the drinking. I wouldnít want to have some on getting hurt or arrested because they had a bit to much fun at my place on there mind. You are more than welcome to have a few though. Just hope there will be some left for tomorrow.

Oberlin's fireworks were pretty disappointing. They were the worst I've seen here. It only lasted 15 minutes at the most.
