Brinner is a star! (in his own mind anyway)

They finally got the video from the National take over up on the Toyota trail team site.

check it out: http://www.toyotatrailteams.com/

go to videos upon hitting their site and click on TTORA Take Over.

Luckily they only got about 5 seconds of my fat ass, but Brinner deserves an Oscar!

Even got a shot of Dallas in there as well!

wish you could have made it. it was a blast!

I think next summer we are going to plan another trip down as a club event!

The area is worthy of an annual "pilgrimage".

Way to go, and it was also cool seeing the dog in there too! The trails looked like a blast to run on and the weather looked awesome!

BTW, I'm surprised Bear didn't mention Texas in his interview...

I just reread your post! I'll tell you where the "massive" taco was…sitting in the driveway back in Indiana.

I always joke that my taco wants to be a peterbuilt when it grows up…I think yours wants to be painted gold and be just like mine. (when mine is running )

Just playing with you buddy!

I always thought of my taco Being a Kentworth.

I hope that you get rid of those demons thou.

But i think that your truck should be like mine. Go to lowes and get you a gallon of smoke grey rustoleum. And i Bet it will fire right up.

I think they were looking for almost stock taco and lighly mod ones.

I liked Brads reaction thou.

you ever hear the ole joke about the truck driver?

when asked what he was going to do when he retired, he replied "retire? hell, why should I think about that? Old truckers never even die…they just get a new peterbuilt!"

Well you will be happy to know there is some of your trucks influence now on mine! I ain't going to tell you what it is because I don't want it going to your head, but you'll recognize it once you see it

(and yes that is a hint that we need to have a run soon after I get my truck straightened out) I getting closer to getting BearAttack running again. Buying new plug wires today, and this weekend should have new plugs.

Maybe next week or so, I'll have a new muffler, and then I can start rebuilding the interior and replumbing the ARB's. After that it will be rolling again.

YOu are also right about Brad and his reaction. I was giving him a hard time on the nat board about his reaction.

But no joking thou. A buddy of mine works at a local Toyoda Dealership. He had a customer come in for a buy back and they got mad cause it passed. They were so mad that they ended up giving him the truck. He comes down to the house to tell me about it and ask about lifts. When he saw the tacoma in the garage getting built he decided to do the sas on his free tacoma. He had me right him down a list of parts just like what i got. We should be starting his build real soon . Man i can't wait to get to build another one. This time the headache will be on him. Having to wait to get and money. That was the only thing i hated about the whole build. Worst thing thou is i'm still building it thou.

But i think i'm gonna copy some stuff off of your truck also. Cause i need more lift in the back. That damn heavy bumper is making the spring fade bad. My truck looks like uncle buck going down the road. Hit a bump and it keeps bouncing f8 of a mile.

Well I guess I need to be the needle that bust that fat ole "balloon" for you then! the infuence is not mechanical! Although I do like your axle that you used (wish I could have afforded something like that)

So what all do we need to do to get your rear situated? new springs are pretty much a give, what about your shackle? I think the thickness of mine is really helping in a couple of ways, obviously it gives me the lift I need with the length of it, but the thickness makes me really feel like it keeps the lateral movement in check.

I know you are trying to do something soon for your rear, but keep in mind all my rear gear is coming off the truck next summer (hopefully) I sure would hate to see it all wasted and not go to a "nice" home.

FYI, your pm with the digits got deleted before I copied them down

you think about it you may have just as much in your axle as i do in mine.

600 for the housing
400 for the inner axles chormo
400 for the 30 spline birf's
200 for the 3rd and knuckles basicly front axle
50 for the brake calipers
200 for the hy steer arms
100 for the tie rods and links

1950 total in axle parts.

Nope, I don't think I am even close. Well maybe with the ARB come to think about it.

But I got my housing for $75, running stock shafts until passenger side exploded the ears on both the inner and outter. about $275 for that replacement (I am guessing cuz I can't remember) Flat top knuckles were free but cost $60 to re tap. Total of $400 for my entire steering including arms and $40 for calipers.

Front gears I think I had around $300 originally in them but grenaded them the second time out on them. (Damn Kentucky trails)

Okay so you got me! BASTARD! LOL

now back to our normal scheduled programming!
