I was thinking Cecil M. Harden Lake in during June. last year they had a free fishing weekend in june so there was no need for fishing licenses.

"IF" I can get off and make it, I'll have to buy a new pole. I was looking at a new one and the the oldest seen the PRINCESS pole, so she wants it and wants to go too.

I might have an extra rod if you need it. I think we are going to go threw all the rod and reels this weekend sometime and re string them all.

It was funny watching my son try to cast and his line only went 12ft.

all my reels except couple jigging(not same as the fresh water "jig", big solid metal lure cast out with 9 or 10 foot rods.) reels are all spooled with spectra, from 30# to 130#, expensive but they last forever, zero stretch, no memory, 1/3 to 1/2 of the diameter of mono. every time i go out fishing, i only use the mono topshot for 1 day. use uni-uni knot or worm knot to connect the spectra and mono, both of them work great.
something like that(not me):

here is the jig

I am planning on being there, the youngest leaves for Texas the week prior but the other two brats as well as the wife will be there as well....

Providing I don't have a run crop up that I have to leave the state for. (they tend to materialize at the last minute making my scheduling of life a bit more "interesting")

sounds like you will fit in quite nicely!

I am more of a bay fisherman from my days in the Texas bays, but fresh water can be fun, it has it's challenges, which I have actually found to be more taxing than saltwater!

haven't put much thought past today, more like day to day for me right now. I just got a quote for an $1100 repair bill on my truck…no not the toyota either! the Ford crapped out on me after the last run I had. So I am still kinda "picking up the pieces" from all that

Brian wanted trophies too. And we're meeting at Racoon Ramp between 9-10 am.

That sucks, real bad. Hope you can make it, it will help you relax a bit. I'll bring your snatch block with too. I got my own now!

snatch always makes me relax!

Oh! did I just say that? :O

But with the ford down, I definitely won't be on the road this weekend, but I do need to work on it, but that is what Sundays are for.
