Your truck was a longbed right?

Here's the thread with the pictures:

Zack - the black Taco and tan 1st gen you posted pics of are some of my favorite flatbeds (the trucks overall aren't bad either).

i wonder if Michael could make it work on Zacks shortbed frame

well we got the head off earlier the headgasket was blown REAL bad, but when i started looking it over there was a crack between #2 exhaust valve and the water jacket

Luckily for Zack I had a efi head, it is nasty dirty so we'll need it to be hot tanked but we needed to go to the machine shop anyway.

It can be done. Looks like the back of it is just behind the factory shackle, so approx 9" behind zach's shackle. Extend the frame a little bit and it ought to fit well. Plus, that will allow him to stretch the wheelbase a little bit.

that might work, he wants to do the F150 rears then rears upfront, he could mount the f150's in the stock mounts that would shove the rear axle back 4 inches

Maybe stock FRONT mount, but not stock rear mount. You're moving one or the other (usually both...)

You can have the cab-side rear leaf spring mounts off of my ride if you'd like. They'll be available once I french my springs. Only thing is that they're drilled for a 3/4" bolt.

You're gonna have to move mounts around to fit the longer F150s. Also, those springs use 9/16" bolts. Your hanger uses 18 or 19mm bolts (can't remember right now) and Jordan's have 3/4" bolts.

IF you were to buy sean's flatbed, I would recommend buying all new mounts, placing a 9/16" hole spring hanger approx. where yours is currently and putting the shackle hanger right where the tube bed ends (possibly extending the framerail some)

well, we got the head on and torqued down Zack was zipping away at getting the intake bolts all in and then SNAP, he broke a intake bolt off, and it was right in front by the water ports so i told him he's have to take off the intake so we could get it out, I should have specified we'd try and remove the broken bolt without removing the head, but Zack got it off and was working at trying to drill out the bolt when something happened i guess the bit broke or something and he cut his hand bad enough it was bleeding

Yea we discussed it some already. I'm either gonna need him to have the winch to build around, or we could just get that TG winch mount and build from that. He is wanting something of his own taste though so we will just have to see what we can come up with.
