here mike
That looks like a nice pice. If your gonna use a winch like Glens we can build ya a nice tucked up bumper if you bring his winch for mockup. You might wind up limited to using that style of winch though.

Cutting out your rockers and replacing with tube is prolly a good idea if your rockers are currently trashed. It would give us a nice platform to build off of as well. Some 2x4 3/16, or 1/4 wall would work nice, with some 2x2 1/4 for legs to the frame.

If you want tube sliders we can make new ones or Jordan has the old ones off the duck. Youll have to work it out with him to get them , as far as i'm conscerned they are his now.

Effffff... Had I thought ahead, I would've brought them with me this weekend and DUMPED them on Sean's ass (SARCASM - I really appreciate your help, Sean!)

As far as I'm concerned, whoever wants to clean them up and pay Michael Faber $30 can have them. I have the legs already notched for the tube. I believe they're for a regular cab / regular bed or 4runner, so dunno if they'd work for ya, Zack.

So... My bad...

If you're willing to lose A/C, you can tuck the winch waaaayyyy back there. Mine is trail-only, so it was a no-brainer for me.

They'll work fne. They always worked well on my rig before. I'd have kept them but I wanted a better base for my cage, and was loosing the rocker pannels that they once protected.

Then you wheel to a remote spot flip hidden switch number 2 too kill the truck. Finally give a bullshit excuse too the truck needs to cool down and then you have yor self a pleasant time with the man if you didnt thing that one up your for sure gay. :P

They won't really fit well with the rockers gone, they were built to fit under the rockers. It could be done but itl look like chit.

Maybe cut up the sliders and mount them outside of the "rocker replacement tube"? Then you'd have a nice pivot point to keep off the trees.

Did that make sense?

Just buy and extra stick of tube when you make your tube bed order and be done with it. Sliders aren't rocket science - compared to the work in the tube bed.

I made my own with Michael's help. They weren't really that hard.

This is true after following along and learning the bender a bit, working on the bumper, he did all the work on the sliders himself. 2 bends on the sme plane, a bunch of notches, and ya gotta know how to read a tape measure. Its pretty simple stuff, just labor intenisve, and there is no need in over thinking any of it.

well I don't care what we do just as long as it looks good and works great.

Glen- mike told me if we just tighten up the door hinges the door should seal up better.

Along with the A/C topic, Yes it does work all too well

When are you going to come up? i don't want to be tripping over steel for weeks, so le know when and we will work outthe details. I'd rather you pay for the steel yourself. I will make up you order and instructions to keep it simple for ya though. I just need a day or 2 to get it prepared.

Cut out rockers replace witth square..
cut out rockers, and use tube....
leave rockers and build sliders under em...
leave sliders and use the sliders jordan currently has....

It's all just personal preference. Cutting out the rockers will give you better ground clearance. Square will probably match up with the cab better, but you're using tube for everything else. If it was me, I'd use square (actually I wouldn't do anything since the rockers are already trashed but that's not the point.)

And yeah, there's a way to make your doors removable. Unbolt them. Tada!
