Welcome to a new year of wheelin'!
2016 was kind of slow for me as I was trying to sell my 1st wheeling rig, a 2004 Tacoma. I bought her brand spankin' new and am proud to say all the modifications were done by me and a bunch of friends. She treated me well and I'll miss her. My wife and I are creating a family and the back seat of an extra cab is no place for anyone. So, shortly after selling the Tacoma, I picked up a 1994 LC. She's currently stock but I've almost collected all the parts for a nice lift. She should be ready to hit the trails by Calico in April. I'm excited to bring our daughter with us to experience the outdoors in a unique way.
2017 has already taken a bite at us by the closure of 2N33 and 2N17X due to the Pilot Fire. These are better known as the Pilot Rock trails. Therefore, we've substituted our annual "Trifecta Run" in May with a set of mild to moderate trails between Anza Borrego and Palm Springs. I've never visited this area and am looking forward to it. We've also added two more areas this year. ShowStop will be hosting a run through Rowher Flats OHV near Santa Clarita and I'll be leading a camping trip on Bradshaw Trail just on the other side of Salton Sea.
We're proud to say that SoCal is one of the most active chapters in TTORA. We host events nearly every month of the year and cater to almost every form of wheeling. Everybody has a great time on the trail. We are very welcoming to new wheelers. We love to share our knowledge and help you through to the end. I hope to see you all out there again this year as well as some new friends.
See you out on the trails!
