I was just planning on doing whatever looks fun at the moment.

I am nobody.

My truck has some custom shit.

Is there someplace local to pick up wood? I would rather not haul an extra 500 pounds 500+ miles.

Later,
....Mike

The only place really local that is listed in the Palm Springs Yellow Pages is Dee Bee's Tree Service in Yucca Valley. This is not far from camp, a few miles west on Hwy 62. I have not posted the information because thus far, they've not returned my phone calls. Perhaps if you and numerous others call they'll get the hint that they can sell a lot of wood for the event.

760-228-1922

I called them again a few minutes ago, still got the answering machine.

There is also a place that seems to be called Dave's firewood in Joshua Tree iteself.

760-366-3459

Again, I got an answering machine.

Little town places . . . so see what you get out of that and let us know . . . I'll do the same.

Call them back, tell them you got " the shit" . You need to trade it for some firewood. They will call back PRONTO.

Probably doing the medium run.
I've got 32's and sliders. Edit - rear locker too
I'm bringing as much wood as my wallet and my bed will permit.

I am doing nothing . . . I have a special talent for that . . .I'll be helping to pre-run and then tail gun the medium run (Chris will be the leader) while playing air guitar and steering wheel drums to loud music because my wife laughs and laughs whilst I do that. I am going to watch you folks eat. We are going to go get a burrito. I am going to point and laugh at Kyle when he dances. I like the big Sand Hill fire . . . so bring wood so you can make me happy.

So, no, I am not going to be doing much at the event . . . but far more than I am actually capable of doing!

i have the 85 still, but its at my parents house. Thing is too slow for me to drive in so.cal. Ive been slowly working on it here and there. give me 10 years and u might see me wheeling it one day.

So I ended up buying a 05 xterra to get me around, quick not have to worry about it failing me. I was gona go get a WRX STI but the insurence for it was gona be almost as much as my car payments ! The xterra is pretty sweet, more power then the 05 tacos, 6spd, came factory with 32" bfgs, and a rear locker... just picked it up yesterday..and watch me this weeken beat it up
