Broken 5125s

I have broken 2 different 5125 eyelets on the right rear side of my truck. I broke the first one a few years back, and I just broke another one the other day. I was under the impression you could use them on stock height trucks? I am assuming it is bottoming out and breaking the eyelet. Any ideas?

I might have to do that. Just not sure how others have put these on and not broken them and I have broken 2? I know they are on the correct side. Maybe I should go with the shorter one on the passenger side?

longer rear shocks/lift require longer bumps or strike extensions.

I took it into a local place, he said it looks like it overextended and ripped the eye off.

The shocks have almost always been the limiting factor in down travel, even stock.
truedat. especially as springs get worn.
