Bump Steer Correction for 05-07 Tacoma?
Newbee to this site. Bought my '06 Taco 4x4 DC SB w/ TRD Off Road pkg in May. Installed a Toytec 3" lift kit about a month ago and 285/75-16 Yoko AT/S tires on Eagle 16x8 rims last week, and now I have some pretty pronounced bump steer. Wasn't so bad when I just had the lift kit and stock tires and rims, but when I mounted the new larger tires and rims it really became pronounced. Hence, two questions:
1. Anybody know of a bracket kit to mount the steering rack lower, or one that raises the tie rods on the steering knuckle? I've Googled it quite a bit and haven't found anything out there.
2. After crawling under the truck I noticed that the tie rod ball joints mount from under the steering knuckles. Can they be reversed so they mount from the top instead? This would appear to decrease the tie rod angle considerably.
Thanks in advance for your help.
