Question about Official Runs and Fun Runs.

Ok, this might seem like a dumb question.
"What makes an event an "official" run?" as opposed to just a fun run?

An "official" run is pre set at the beginning of the year....usually, and has trails set up with staff to lead. The unofficial ones are usually members getting a group together to run 1 thing. Kinda spur of the moment thing. So Cal planned in December the entire year for runs. Anything between is just fun
