Angry Rear gear Oil

Ive got a non posi 3.96 or something like that rear end. Its a 99 taco ext v6 with 33's.

I ussully run i think 80wt gear oil
If i run a really really thick gear oil like 90wt or even 100wt would i get better traction? Do yall think the extra thick gear oil would try and spin both tires a little more?
I know it want be no posi or even limeted slip, but would it help atleast try to spin both?

Its sucks bcouse if the hubs arent locked in its like im really only using 1 wheel drive LOL. I need a locker but i thought thicker gear oil would mabye revise it. When the truck was new it would do posi burnouts All the time 2 black marks, but now only the right rear, or which ever tire is in the air LOL
thanks

P

Using a "thicker" oil will only decrease mpg... I highly doubt that it will in any way improve traction.

Nope, a thicker gear oil wont help your situation. Buying a locker or a LSD is the solution.

BTW- Running a really thick gear oil in colder temperatures might actually damage your bearings if the oil doesn't properly flow in all the bearing races.
