I don't under stand why this bar is so far up above the hood.
Someone enlighten me

It is called a stinger. On Comp buggies it supposed will help prevent a frontwards rollover.

so you can drop into holes that are too deep for your truck. It makes it so you can just drive straight even though your tires may be off of the ground.

lots of guys dont like em but I think they are pretty cool looking and functional(sorry wrong order there i know)
bling taco has a pretty sick one
