cabin air filter?

I saw in my maint. schedule that at 15000 miles the cabin air filter may need replacement if you drive in heavy traffic or in heavy dust, which I do.

I searched here and in my owner's manual but can't find how to access or check this filter.

In my dad's '05 Corolla, the filter is accessed through the glove compartment.

Any help on this would be appreciated because I don't want to sound like an idiot asking the dealer about it.

Thanks in advance.

I believe it's behind the glove compartment, but I could be wrong. Customtacos.com had a whole thread about that some time ago. Click below for the drawn out thread.

Wow, that's why I stay away from CT. 9 pages worth of threads and no answer to the question.

I think I'll explore behind my glove box later and see what I come up with.

Thanks for your help.

Tacoma's do not have a cabin filter. There is a fan below the glove box that can be dusty, but other than that- nothing.

Oh really? Maybe you should get your ass back over there then. We don't like posting misinformation around on this board. There is no fucking cabin air filter in the Tacoma!! So get a clue or get gone. OK

So, where is the filter?

I tried to buy one at the dealer the other day (they had these nifty adds at the service counter) and darned if they didn't say the same thing...although much more nicely

I just hate it when people talk out of their asses like that just to hear their heads rattle and it confuses other folks. We have enough of that kind of shit going on in government.

I guess we should not trust their opinion about how often to change the blinker fluid or muffler bearings in a Taco
