Hey guys...New to the site. I am purchasing a pick from several trucks at a dealership being... 2002 Taco 4x4 TRD with 53K A 2003 Taco 4x4 base with 23K and a 2000 Taco Base with 62k 4x4....all are 5 speed. Wich is the best year, and also, anything I should be lookin for in particular? price isnt that big a deal, I just want the best of the bunch...Thanx so much!

The biggest difference between the '00 and the others is the body style, which I feel is the best looking Tacoma, and the key deciding factor between the '02 and the '03 is the TRD package.

If the '03 is cheaper than the '02 by more than $1,000-$3,000, I would go that route as you can add an ARB locker and equipment and end up with a better truck.

Which one do you like most? Go with that. You can't gp wrong with a tacoma, especially 4x4. TRD has the e-locker which is nice.

That TRD is nice too-But I cant get in their till saturday...so I am at the mercy of fellow buyers...hope it is still there!

Good news

Well it is just about dawn on Friday, I spoke with the yo yo dealership lst night and the 02 TRD 4x4 taco with a 5 speed is 15k$, with 56k miles on it. I may be goin there tonight or saturday morning...either way they have it on hold at least for 2 day so I should have that truck! Thanks for the imput guys!
