tbs do not provide more hp or mpg the idea they work off is a high rise intake on an older carberated engine, the idea does not work of fuel injected motors because they do not 'store' fuel and air in the intake

Put a spacer between your foot, and the skinny pedal..

Maybe drive barefoot with a big nail sticking up on the pedal

Get used to it, or regear with some 4.10s. Mileage with 33s is sucky.

tacoma fuel economy is just crap... trucks in general are that way. if you want good gas mileage buy a hybrid

"Rock Pimp" SXOR Buggy- 347 Stroker, 1 tons, stickies, rear engine I do dumb things.

Trucks already have a disadvantage...just the nature of the beast

I picked up 2 mpg by switching from my 36's tsl's to 35" A/T's
14mpg now...... Yeah still sucks, but at least an increase
I gained 40 extra miles per tank...280 miles per tank

I think magnets on the fuel line are a bigger bang for the buck.

I get 20mpg in my '01 taco. I just hit 152k on the 3.4l and it seems like the gas mileage is getting better. I am going to miss it when i buy me a new Tundra next year though.

I get 14-17 in mixed city types of driving in my 09. Get some street slicks and take your foot off of the floorboard are the only options.

My 85 gets around 18 in the city and 20 on the highway with 33's and stock 410 gearing. It also tops out at about 70-75

Just drove down to Buda (Cabelas) this past weekend and got 20.2mpg. Stock 99 V6 Prerunner with stock sized Wranglers. I'd love to get a new Tacoma but hate to thing of the lower mpgs......
