Well it's been a long time coming but yesterday as I watched oil drip off one of only two good txfr case mount bolts, the one tapped thru the case, I decided to call Bud. He set me up with a Marlin adaptor kit. TIME TO DBL UP.

Few questions.

1. I guess Kyles old SQ DS up front should work?
2. What happens w/the speedo connection(s)? Leak/sling oil if left open?
3. What's a good $ for cutting down my rear DS? Daniel/Alan, phone # or name for the place on 41?
4. Best source for NEW txfr case mount? I'm done junkyardin' rubber thingys!

4xinnovations for the mounts unless you want factory style. And check Marlin for the speedo extension (yeah more $$ but better this way than the alternative)

The dblr assy adds 6.5" so I'm thinking only shorten the rear DS 5.5". Why?Because Smokey has the stock DS and has about 4" of lift already & geometry? NO I don't wan't to WAIT & 'mock it up'! If I did how much slip in droop vs compression mode ... BS .. bla bla bla...?

Parts everywhere and now the Realtor want's to show the place!

It's really looking like that 'cool' Tuffy center console is going to be a problem.

Oh yeah, those who have certain reservations about wheelin w/Crawl & Smokey, you'll be glad to know that I now have a working emergency brake thanks to a little side project.

U should be happy too. Hopefully no more 'product tests' on Ur rear bumper. It's definately ARB/Smokey 'approved'!

Ed, if that's going to be a transfer case mounted disk parking brake make sure that you have room for the disk between the TC and body...I know that I don't. And if it's not a tcmdpb, I want to hear what you're conjuring up!

That little incident with Matt still makes me laugh when I think about it. I had no idea the little feller could move that fast!

Kyle, Bud says I don't need Marlin's hdwr kit, that I can use my doner case hardware & rtv sealant in lieu of gaskets. I don't think that stuff is gona arrive in time from Marlin for me to get ready for SE4RJ. What say you? Ever hear of this working?

For the record, studs & nut kit is required. Bolts just don't fit. Period. And if they send U the wrong coupler shaft ... Ur just plain screwed. I probably won't make SE4RJ now.
