So here is the deal. When I was growing up my father used to install radio's, alarms and Phones before they where handhelds. When I had my 2004 Tacoma I bought a Audiovox alarm. Worked great. But when I moved it to my 07 I had a different friend of my dads install it (since my dad will not touch them any more). The guy did a crap job and now all the wires to the remote start kill switch and valet switch are ripped out do to no slack in the wiring.

I spend 3 hours last night trying to rewire switches and nothing happened. I could use a good alarm tech that I can trust (all the people I know are back in socal.... Damn:( ) as well as I may just buy a new one and have some on install it as a side project. Any help would be appreciated.

I can take a look at it. It sounds like a mess and if i got it to work, I wouldn't warranty anything in the future. If you want to get a new alarm I would be happy to install it for you. I recommend anything made by DEI and eBay is the cheapest place to get them.

Well I wanted to keep with the same style alarm/remote start. I am looking at the Viper 5002. I already have the hole key chip thing bypassed via a method I don't want to post online. Give me a call and we can talk. 9515453850

EDIT: I do agree with you about anything Directed Electronics. They make good quality products that is why I am looking at the Viper.
