1985 4Runner

The 4Runner came to me as a 'junker' hauled in by my boyfriends Dad. It was rolled, with the roof crunched down to the steering wheel. Needless to say it was just something to play around with for a few weekends then scrap out, but they made the mistake of letting me drive it... and then I began to understand....

The next modifications we did were to accomidate 35' tires. Now remember, this was just going to be a few weekend thing, so we cut the rear fenders and I pulled the front ones off, as well as the doors and the topper. After we got the new tires on there wasn't enough clearance for them at the firewall, so we torched out some of the firewall to make room. Everything is runnin great so far

Next came a Header and locked rear end. The header was his project, pulling the 3rd member, mine, and I pulled it myself:D (with the help of a Chiltons and my boyfriend to loosen some of the bolts.) The header turned out well, and added some much needed horse power! We Lincoln Locked the rearend and have had no problems!

That all that is done as of yet, but her future includes

*a front roll cage and rack
*dash modification to install a radio, some switches and possibly a CB
*a new front grill with lights
*SkyJackers in the rear
*a winch of somesort
*a skunk paint job
*??tube fenders and doors??
*solid axle

The Roll Cage was ordered today and will be at my house in about 3 weeks :D Also my SAS will probably be done sooner than expected which will be great, then I'll be one step closer to running Independence........
