Left Yuma at 4am Friday morning and made it up to the Sedona Area around 10 am and took Schenbly Hill Road into Sedona and into camp around noon (not to soon either most of the campsite were getting full). Headed back out a little after 1pm (had to take a nap)and returned to camp around 7pm. Here are the photo's from day 1

End of Day 1

Day two I was supposed to meet up with a few people from the Yuma4wheelers but our times got mixed up and we missed each other by about an hour. So it was another solo day of driving for me and a new trail (:bang: )

Overall, it was a great trip and saw some great country side which I really miss. Here's the rest of album-

Here is the bad:
On the first road I hit all the rattles and creaks that I thought I fixed returned. Along, with a new clicking noise:bang: .
Along the Van Deren Cabin my 4runner spudder then died (sound like it wasn't getting fuel) after that I had a nice gas/oil fumes for the rest of day (only off and on at times)but it went away on the second day:bang: :bang:  . Lost the same nut to my rear sway bar links (found that out today and it was torqued correctly) and learned that even a bud built skid can be bent (thanks to the Martin Canyon portion of Smiley Rock).
Add more dents to the gas tank skid as well.

Yes, I know it's not hard core wheeling like you all but we all can't be the same.

Have you ever replaced the "lifetime" fuel filter?
Its cheap and easy to do.
Whats your schedule for the rest of the summer for trips?

The next major trip for me is Ouray and Southern Utah over labor day but I'm wanting to head over to the Big Bear area in California. Just don't know when. Right now I need to take the dents out of my fuel take and find out what that gas smell was.

Thanks Nate.

I've experienced a strong fuel smell before to the point where I started looking for a leak, but i eventually concluded that for some reason when it was brutally hot the evap canister was releasing some fumes. Only happens when its 110 out like now.

You might have a vac line loose on the vapor recovery canister like Tristan said. That would cause the smell as well. Check those and the fittings on the fuel filter.

Could've done another trail but I was tried and wanted to get home.

The fittings on the filter are okay. That's what I orgianlly thought but I checked it off and on thoughout the day and when I first started it up to check for leaks. I haven't checked any of the lines yet that's this weekend, plus I have to check the damage to my tank. Looks like I've lost about 3-4 gallons of capacity.
