went out to buddies place this morning to do some shooting and finally figure out what would happen if we shot a fire extinguisher

we started with the one from the bed of my truck using my Marlin Camp Carbine in 45 ACP with me shooting and my buddy running the camera

Unfortuneately I did not spend enough time showing him how to operate my camera so there was no video for this, also it turned out to be a dud but here are pics of the carnage

despite our dissapointment we pressed on and got the one from inside the cab which appeared to be in much better condition. We also switched positions with my buddy shooting using a SKS while I did video

no dud here:woot:

we found the extinguisher about 40' away

with a sizable exit hole

i saw some carnage this weekend. some guys i know drove a '91 dodge shadow off a 40' highwall. no big explosion or anything dramatic like the movies. reminded me of Spies Like Us when they do the impact smiulation off the building. it crushed the nose and folded up the hood like an accordian, then went on over on it's top. they hooked it up to it and towed it up for another run, but it went off the hill sideways and just sortof bounced down the hill on it's wheels. they caught me in my gas-saver, so i didn't have my camera. i left when they were about to light it on fire...local volunteer fire dept. was there 10 mins. after i left. i can usually tell when it's time to leave...lol. after the first run, i was checking out the car while it was on it's top and noticed a duct tape and JB Weld gas tank patch. :kewl: pretty sweet. the car kept running for a good 45 seconds after it went upside down. it's hard to kill 2.4 liters of fury.
