Though I don't personally know Shannon, I would like to try to do my part in helping him out.

I would love to set up some sort of fundraiser for him - I know we talked about the swap meet, but is there anything else we could do? Car wash, selling cookies, anything? Even setting up a "Truck show" of sorts, with a bunch of yota's - and charging $5 admission?

If I can get some help from the front range people, I would like to set it up in Denver or thereabouts. I'm in Grand Junction, and I don't think anything I did here would raise much money. But I can get to Denver about anytime I need to.

I'm just tossing out ideas, does anyone have any others? And, if there is a thread about this already I didn't see it, so forgive me :D

Isn't there a donation thread on the national forum? Any updates on how he is doing?

There is a donation thread, I just thought I'd throw the idea out of trying to help out a little more. The donations have reached $2700 last I heard, but without insurance any stay in the hospital (let alone a long stay in ICU) will cost a fortune. Just wanted to do what I could to help out, since I can't donate a lot of money.

Sounds like he's waking up and trying to talk on his own, there was an update from his sister yesterday I believe.

I agree that we should do something....but what that is, I just don't know...
