05+ Tacoma CV axle assembly

Does anyone know definitively whether or not the front CV axle on a 05+ Tacoma is interchangeable on the left or the right side? Any of the Toyota techs that post here?

The Toyota of Dallas parts catalog does not indicate a left versus a right, but I've seen other folks on TTORA refer to a left shaft and a right shaft. Some searches on car-part.com do indicate left or right side.

What about 1st Gen tacoma or 4Runner IFS front axles? Same size (length) for left and right?

For taco's earlier than 04, and 4runners earlier than 02, the axles are the same side to side for the CV's.

Same with early IFS.

Hopefully someone will be able to chime in on your year Matt.

Matt, for your 05+ truck and the FJ (and perhaps 4Runner) the CV axles are interchangeable right/left and between vehicles.
