For Sale by Owner
I got a 70'something popup that's on the for sale block right now!! I used it a couple times for some "draw" deer hunts down at Felsenthal. I'm looking for a hard side/single axle to replace it, but the popup is for sale now!!
The camper is in fair condition and here is a rundown
-Running gear is good w/ new tires & bearing pack 3 years ago (less than 500 miles). It uses a 1 3/4" ball & has spare tire that holds air.
-The foam beds are OK, but everything is covered in one of those halloween plaids.
-The LP gas works, caused we used it for heat.
-The top doesn't leak.
-The door needs a new latching mechanism
-Don't know about the electric inverter or water.
-It was never equiped w/ AC.
-I'd say the canvas material is the drawback on this camper. Over the years the canvas has begun to dry rot and can be easily torn. We bought a 6 inch wide roll of gray tape and didn't worry about appearances (at deer camp? Right!).
I believe it is plenty light enough to rig it as a tandem hitch behind my truck trailer, but Momma' says she needs the hard side.
I intend to put it in the local trader paper for $350.
This popup camper is in Jonesboro, AR & transportation is negoitible.
I don't remember if I have any pictures, but I will try to get some later today.
