So when is everyone leaving NWA to get down to Hot Springs? It looks like I'm going to be heading down Thursday afternoon. I'm borrowing a buddy's truck and trailer to haul the toy down. It wouldn't hurt to have another truck or two ride down at the same time to make sure I get there. :D Anyone up for a caravan?

I don't think I can leave till Friday around 5:30 or so. My wife has to work and I don't want to have to get my kids out of school. My daughter has surgery tommorow and that might change a lot of things for us. I still plan on going but not sure if Trish and the kids will be with me. If you don't leave till Friday maybe we can hook up for the drive down. I'm in BV right behind Macadoodles.

If a few of you end up heading down from NWA on friday and I end up going I would love to tag along.

I won't be arriving at Superlift till around 9:30 Friday night. Hoping to leave NWAR around 5:30 or hopefully sooner. I might be coming down solo by the looks of things.

Well. I've got the trailer loaded. We'll be headed down tomorrow at noon. Planning on staying at the in-laws tomorrow night and getting to the park bright and early Friday morning.

Yes the surgery went good. :saw: She was walking in the woods with her cat picking up rocks behind the house and stepped on a broken beer bottle that had been there for quite some time. The way she was screaming I would have swore she got bit by a snake. I ran down to see what happened and she was literally standing in a pool of blood when I got to her. At that point I would have taken the snake bite over how her foot looked. I picked her up and ran for the house, threw her in the truck and headed for Bentonville (30 min.) I could see her the whole time while I was manning the grill and we walks in the woods all the time so I didn't think much of it. It went through her shoe and broke off between 2 bones in her foot. The surgery took 2.5 hours and they had to get the glass out through the TOP of her foot. My wife and kids WILL be coming with me but she is on crutches so it should be interesting. I told her I didn't really want her going to superlift with me and she quickly shut that down. She loves to wheel and camp so she wasn't going to let that slow her down. Anyway, there's the story behind the surgery. So, yes, we will all be coming down and thank you for the offer Glen.

She just turned 9. If you would have seen the amount of blood on her, my clothes, my truck and in the bottom of the garbage bag and towels I had wrapped around her foot you would have swore she cut her leg off. She was literally spraying blood down the side of my truck when I put her in there. I wrapped her foot with a wet towl and my wife put preasure on it till we got to the hospital. She was actually trying to calm me down driving to the hospital. I had steaks on the grill and Trish was cookin' fried potato's when we left and didn't think to turn the stove off we just left. We got home 6 hours later from the hospital and the stove was still on, the house was very smoky and the steaks on the grill were ummm WELL done. I'm glad the house didn't burn down. Would you believe we waiting 3 HOURS in the lobby before they even got us in a room! Then it took them 7 DAYS to schedule her in for surgery with the glass still in her foot! Needless to say, I am not very impressed with the medical care here. For a 92 lb kid to loose 2 pints of blood is not good. She got so dehidrated she was cramping up in the lobby. I was ready to KILL! It's not easy watching your kid suffer like that especially when your sitting in a hospital full of doctors. They told us she couldn't drink anything until they knew what they were going to do. 6 hours later they basically put a bandage on it and released her and they didn't even give her an IV even after I told them she was cramping up and had lost a lot of blood. The f-n' c#nt nurse said in a smart ass voice "yes, I can see she has been bleeding"! They just said "oh, she can have water now". I'm not one to sue people but I am seriously considering getting a lawyer. I am completely beside myself about the whole thing. BTW the hospital was NW Medical Center in Bentonville.

sounds like the band aid station they call a hospital here in Arkadelpiha, they didnt care that my head had glass sticking out of it, or that it had gone thru the rear view mirror,. dome light, and windshield they were concerned about the SCRATCH on my elbow , told me my leg was fine later to find out the bone was partially crushed on one side http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/dd137/79coyotefrg/smilies/MADCAT.gif
at least the St Josephs in HotSprings is concidered one of the best in the country
