View Full Version : 96 Tacoma Needs major Help

Hey Guys just bought a 96 Taco today. It has a 6" Trailmaster lift on it and the front cylinders are shoot. I called and its going to coast 400.00 to fix it. so i want to Straight axle it. Of course it has Rack steering set up how hard will it be to Straight axle it . Next thing is if i wanted to run a dana 44 what year will fit under it. and on down the road when i dual case it the t case want work. please help.

Dude.. if your choking over $400 bucks to fix it, your really going to puke when you start pricing SAS!! It's a BIG job.

dont touch a thing on that suspension until you do ALOT of research. its not easy or cheap and its alot of work. read up on pirate and the national board, look at buildups and get an idea of what you want to do. then plan everything out you want, and dont start until you have all the parts otherwise it will probably be sitting in pieces for a few months.

yeah thats what im learning. I did a 1989 sas swap but this is all new to me.
