Snow Run 12/25 and 12/27/08

This was a pre-run to check trail conditions of 5-Mile pass just west of Cedar Fort, Utah before a run on 12/27/08 with a couple of local 4wheelers.
Not alot of action photo's since it was just me and my brother and it was getting late. Plus, I only ran the first portion of the trail before the uphill begins.

This is the turn around area before the ascent, were I stopped. I want to say there was between 6" to 8" of snow on the trail. Hopefully, we won't get to much more snow (need to air down next time, what a good psi for that?)

No you want more snow...... with only 8" of snow? 8-10 PSI is ok but if deaper or your diggin too much go down to 4-6 PSI to float. I used to run radials at 1-3 PSI without beadlocks without issue as long as your on a mellow 2 track. if there are obstacles (logs/rocks etc) then stick to 5 or more with out beadlocks.

Just a quick run down: 4 vehicles made the run (3 toyota's and a jeep), no breakage, got to watch an old Dodge attempt to winch up the trail and ran into some rude atver's. Nothing really hard about the run, just trying not to get stuck, the Jeep is the only one who attempted a harder portion of the trail.

Looks like fun T, last weekend most of the trucks ran around 10 PSI with no troubles at all, went out today and became stuck and did not even think about dropping pressure.

There was more snow just not in that area, we would've have had to gone higher up.
