My transmission bit the dust!

I just picked up a 2001 Taco DCab that I knew had transmission issues (No reverse or OD).

And I'm looking for options to have it rebuilt... I can replace it myself, but deffinitly don't want to do the rebuild...

Anyone have recomendations on where to get a rebuilt transmission?

If you find a quality build kit, I work on them darn fangled things.

A toyota rebuild kit is spendy. I was looking at kits through a performance place a while back (forgot the name), looked good, great price.

The big thing is, clutch failure is cheaper and easy to repair, hard part failure (bearing, gears, such) are expensive.

You might just look for a used/junk yard unit. Most places offer a warranty.
