here comes probablly a stupid question , but how do i tell which rear i have , wether it is the 8"; or the 7.5" , and the spline count? i'm only asking because i am looking at lockers to buy.

you have an 8" in the rear and a 7.5 in the front.. they only put 7.5 rears in 2wd trucks. hope this helps.
