: I need welding for sliders...

I have some sliders that are arriving within a day or two and am going to need them welded. I work around downtown Denver and was looking for nearby autobody or whatever type of place that could do the welding. I live in Wheat Ridge. Can anyone suggest a convenient place to get this done? Or if someone want to make a few bucks, I would be up for that also. I'll do the necessary grinding prior to make it a bit less time consuming and can also bring some beers. Let me know what price your thinking. This is my first real mod and I feel like I'm breaking out of the stock world into a whole new place.:welder:

By the way, I did have a brief job welding but it was so long ago, I'd have a hard time setting up a welder to the right settings, so I can do it myself if needed, but I don't have a welder. HELP?

i have a small 110v mig that i used to weld mine on, they haven't fallen off yet and i cant weld worth a crap so if you want to swing by some time you could use it.

I can do it as well, but this weekend is no good for me. I'm a welding student, so I don't mind some more practice. Don't let that scare you though. I have been welding every single day for the past 5 months... :aahg:

FYI, if I do it, it will be arc welded, not MIGed. Not that it really matters, but some people have their preferences...

I have a 110v mig as well and can weld them on for you. I would offer to do it in my shop, where I have a couple of big migs, but the whole shop is taken up with a big project right now.

I am overwhelmed with the offers! I am planning on going up to the HOW shop on Sunday and looking forward to meeting some new people. As for cleaning, I can push a broom, but as for organizing, I will leave that to the owners. It is so nice knowing that strangers will offer this kind of help.

Ill be up in a bit, molly.

Im trying to recover from the Migraine i woke up with this morning. Almost over it now.

Think i can get a hand bleeding/adjusting brakes, and bleeding my clutch?

Depending on how long this little shindig is going on, I might make it up. I'm going to see just how much of a PITA putting 4 bolts in this bed is going to be.

I went and played raquetball with my dad this morning and fucked over my knee AGAIN... So I'm likely looking at some MRIs, surgery, PT, etc. in my future... So I'm limping around yet again. That might slow me down, but maybe I can have a bed bolted down by 2 or so?

Yeah we'll be going on through the evening. And no problem with help Nate!

You're only allowed to get your sliders mounted if you plan on wheeling with us!

Just Kidding

(Like I can talk, I haven't wheeled with "US" for a couple of years!!!)( I SUCK).

Welcome. Everyone here is great. Sliders are a great place to start to "break out of the stock world into a whole new place."

Molly, the ham was great, and Troy, kudos to you for being patient with the mod. The sliders are on and I have no doubt it will suffice for the upcoming trails I plan on running with you guys. Keep me on the email list for any upcoming runs, especially Moab. Thanks again, and it was nice meeting the other members that came by to help (and clean the garage). Troy and Molly, you guys are an asset to this club and are reeling me in to a new passion. --- pics will come tomorrow when I can get some sunlight.

We had a great day! Thanks to all of you for helping us clean the garage to. John found the nasty mice. Layla chased them around the street!

Crazy!
