When the tire company asks for a 8.5 inch rim

will the tire fit on and 8 inch rim?

Looking at Maxxis Buckshot Mudders 31x10.5 15 and Maxxis is saying rim width should be 8.5.

Just bought wheelers 15x8...

Can it work? safe?

tried a search and nothing, maybe I didnt phrase my question right....

You will be fine with then on an 8 inch rim, I've ran my 31 x 10.50s on 8 inch rims and it didnt hert them at all, just makes them a little wider.

My stock tires and wheels were 31x10.50 on a 15x7. My next set was 33x10.50's on those same wheels.

I've got 8.5" rims. Some manufacturers do make them. But like was said, 8" should still work fine.
