Hey guys,

My name is Jonathon. I live in Conway, work in Little Rock, and for the past couple years I have strictly been a "web wheeler." Hopefully I can fix that this year. Here's some pictures of my sad truck, '98 tacoma, all stock. Actually, I guess I have done a mod because I changed the squeaky clutch return spring out for a straight spring. Other than that, it's just a constant project awaiting fundage.

Zander,
snatch that front bumper off
get some scrap yard replacement parts for whatever's wrong w/ that IFS (or not)
then go really wheeling.

That looks to be a really good off-road vehicle. wanna trade?

Take it from a real low buck trail rider. Crawling the biggest rocks in the park is not the only way to have fun.

Welcome.

Yeah, I love my truck. It has gotten me through a lot since I got it in 2000.
I should be getting in a package today with 4 new balljoints and 4 new tie-rod ends. How much should I expect to pay a shop to mount & balance 4 tires, install these new suspension & steering components and give it a good alignment? I might want to put the parts on myself and just have them mount the tires and align it.

Old Truck, I'd trade....for that Shelby. That's one sweet looking ride. Here's my other toy that I don't have any money to play with.

I can't wait to hit the trails w/ you guys and learn some skills. I definitely want to put a tube bumper on the truck w/ a winch. That'll probably be my first big addition.

I got my package today, but I didn't get the 2 lower ball joints. Apparently I bid on the wrong kit.:( I did get 2 uppers, 2 inner TREs and 2 outer TREs, but the outers don't have near as much of a jog in them as the stockers. Will this matter? Maybe the 2 BJs I didn't get are longer to make up for it? Also, one of the outer TREs is smaller and it did not come w/ a nut and cotter pin like the bigger one, but the smaller one has the correct part# while the larger one's P/N is different. There's not that much difference in size, but it seems like I would prefer the beefier one. I'm tempted to just put them both on the truck as is and roll on, especially considering I'm gonna have to pay another shipping fee to get the lowers I didn't get the first time, I don't want to have to pay again to send this thing back. What say you?
