These things are heavy too. Gona have to break them down soon and start cutting the centers out.

Those are some burly looking wheels, dude! What's with "military" written on the sidewall of the tire?

So I finished these bad boys. Welded in new centers and welded all the nuts on the back side of the inner rim so the bolts don't stick out, then welded a piece of 1/2 inch round stock on the outer rim for protection. A little hammerite here and there and mounted up the tires.

The front tires didn't fit very well so I had to cut the fenders a little.

I was good until I looked at my temp gauge, it was pegged out while I was trying to get out of the mud hole. Apparently my water pump belt decided to go bye, bye and I started overheating. I had Mark pull me out so I wouldn't have to do any rebuilding from over heating. Next time I'll make it.

Freakin sweet man!!!! :kewl: You re-centered those yourself??? Very cool! A buddy of mine in the FLTTORA chapter got a set of those on his SAS 2nd gen runner. The tires kinda sucked compared to a good set of swampers but the added double bead lock and run flat capability was worth it! He had to pay to have them re-centered though. Cant wait to see that thing in action again! When you gonna chop it?!? :saw: :D

Looking good Jesse.
I think you would have made it out if that if you had some swampers and you didn't have that overheating problem. I think going the other way is easier too, since the other side is not as steep... but then again it wouldnt be a challenge.
I guess I ain't trying that hole, I would be halfway up my doors by looking at the pic.
No DLNR guys around?

yea, the tires are not as good as the ltb's except they are a lot bigger, thats what I was going for. I think I could have made it out of that hole, but it was deep. I wont be chopping it for a while, got other things to do before I get there. The DLNR guy that came by said not to dig out the holes so that he won't be able to go through them with his truck.

I gotta say Jesse you got some mad skillzzz! :xbeer3: I hope you dont go New Zealand anytime soon. Lesley and I are talking about possibly re-touring here after she graduates. In that case, if she is able to get a job, I will probably try to start my project Taco Supreme and I am definitely going to want your handy work along the way! Cant wait to see what comes next! :kewl:
