I am running BFG Mud 255/85/16's but can't find anybody that has any. 15" wheels won't fit over my calipers and 35's are too big as it sits. The new BFG KM2's are out of stock everywhere I've checked and are the only tire available in this size which is basically my only option right now. could you guys maybe do some checking around in your area for me. I am looking for BFG NON KM2's if you can find em'. I only need 3 of them. Thanks fella's! Any other options please post up.

Thanks Josh. They are out of my size and will no longer be getting them. Have you guys heard anything about the Hankook's?
http://www.offroaders.com/tech/AT-MT-Tires/Hankook-MT.htm
I'm also considering the Cooper's?
http://www.offroaders.com/tech/AT-MT-Tires/Cooper-Discoverer-stt.htm
I was hoping to only have to buy 3, but hey. Maybe I can just sell the 1 KM I have to someone. It's never been driven on or just keep it for a spare. Thanks guys

Both are good tires, but I'd run the STT's. Plus they look meaner. :xdevil:
Lance might want your good tire for his spare so he'll have a matching one.

I ran the STT's on my 4runner. I wouldn't run anything else for a DD/trail tire. Too bad they don't have a 255/85/16.

Well after kicking it around for hours and reading countless articles, I went with the Cooper Discoverer S/T's 255/85/16. $650 mounted and balanced. I drive an hour round trip to work on the highway, do a lot of towing including my boat and make several trips back to Iowa each year. This tire was the best one that fit my needs. It will last me a while and is a great tread pattern. I think they will do just fine on the trails. I will have them on Tuesday. I hope you guys will still think I'm cool. lol

Also, I forgot to mention I will be keeping my BFG Mt for a spare but I will have 4 that I will be most likely scraping. 2 are in decent shape with about 30% tread left on them. The front ones are pretty much shot. They are 255/85/16 if anybody is interested. They would make a good spare and you can't get the KM's anymore.

It o.k. at least my wife will think they are cool. :boobies: Na really, I think they will do quite well on the trail. For an all terrain, they are a very agressive pattern. I might just have to camp with the newbies for now on.

I'm going to try and stay here for at least another year if I can find a job that pays the bills. If not, I will be heading back to Iowa. Right now, it's looking like I have a job till June at least for now instead of April. I was hoping to stay here another 5 years but I don't know. I hate dragging my kids around if I don't have to. They like there school and have lots of friends. That's the tough part.

I love my bighorns. Great road handling, not loud, great in the rain, and the right price :D

I saw the Cooper ST's in person yesterday on the shop owners truck. I think I am going to be very happy with them. Might as well be a MT as agressive as they are. Just worried about chunking and cleaning with the tighter lugs. oh well, small compromise.

I almost got the STT's just sick of mud terrains going out of round and not staying balanced and wearing like crap. I drive over 5 hours a week at 75 mph just to work and back. A shakey steering wheel is getting old. I almost gotta use a sippy cup just to drink my coffee. :D

Good find man. I was trying to find that exact tire because I have a new one I've never driven on and was hoping to get by with only buying 3 tires. You'll like the KM's. Just hope they stay round and balanced for you. Rotate them every time you change your oil. I found that out the hard way.

I've had my Cooper's for about 800 miles now. All on highway driving. They are literally falling apart. I took my truck to the tire shop and showed the guy what was going on. I said no thanks on the Coopers. He is making it right and ordered me a set of Maxxis Bighorns. Here is what my tires look like after 800 miles. Not f-ing happy! I sent Cooper an email and they didn't even respond to me. With this kind of results and potential blow out hazard you would think they would at least respond to me or at least sent me a response apoligizing. Says a lot about Cooper in my eyes. I hope I have better luck with the Bighorns.

It was 2 Friday. Now it's 3 as of today (2 front, one back). Just had a new tie rod installed and front end inspection done so it's not that. All 4 tires have different manufacture dates on them. I could slide my finger under one of the lugs peeling off. Not good. there have been 12 cases where fatal accidents have occured as a result of blow outs with these tires. I'm sure many more but not fatal. I was really liking these tires to that's the $hitty part. I wheeled my BFG's in Iowa, South Dakota, Minnesota, Oklahoma, Texas, Hot Springs, Tennessee, Flat Nasty, MIOBI, all over like it was stolen and never had a problem with them except for a chunk here and there. I'd hate to see what would have happened wheeling with those. Anyway, looking forward to trying out the bighorns.

weird man, i had the stt's on my chevy for about 4 months and when I sold the truck they still had almost 85-90% tread life and there was no chipping or lug damage other then the corners showing some wear on the front from turning. i can't say that about the st's though, never had them. Andrew's STT's still look good too. sorry to hear that. My dad has ran the cooper ATR's (so have I once) for as long as I can remember and he loves them.

Ya the cooper's looked gay as f#ck. I'm actually glad I had problems with em'. The Bighorns are way better and blow the coopers away on the highway as far as handling. No wabble or shimmer at all. I was doing 80 last night hands off the wheel and straight as an arrow. I'd drive it to Utah in a heartbeat. I would HIGHLY recommend the bighorns.
So give us a three month update on those Bighorns. I need a new set of tires for my Xterra and these are in the running.

The Bighorns are doing awsome! Still balanced perfect and wearing, well, I can't tell if they are wearing so they must be doing good. They still look brand new. I've rotated them once and have put 5k on them and I've drove to Iowa twice and to work 1 hr every day. I wheeled at Disney about a month ago with Tornado Alley Cruisers and they are unbeleivable on the trails. So ya, I will buy Bighorns prob for the rest of my life. :) Love em'! Best tires I've owned yet. Not to mention about $165 a tire.

So give us a three month update on those Bighorns. I need a new set of tires for my Xterra and these are in the running.
P.S. How's Cousnin Ugly been treatin' ya?

Thinking about it. I'm going to lift it so I can get 33's under it and am looking at several tires right now. Looking for a mixture of function, style, and price.

In pieces right now. I'll post some pics up soon. After wheelin it hard a few times the frame started to stress. I bought a new frame and am in the process of moving everything over to the new one along with some other mods.

Well, I'd recommend the Bighorns to anybody. They have a little squishy roll feeling on curves at high speeds but hey, they ARE an MT. :) I've very happy with mine. And WOW you got er' in pieces. where the heck you been wheeling? Damn bro. A new frame?
