I'm probably not attending the Manager's Special, unless I have nothing better to do on Saturday, and the truck is in one piece.

Some of us are planning on Howiepalooza. We want to see SMORR and wheel a new park. :D

No HowiePalooza for me. :( I'm just hoping to have the truck finished before the non-ramble.

Some of us NE arkie crew were thinking bout heading down sometime in march to Hot Springs. I prolly won't make it though. Its a rebuilding year 4 me, and that means my wheeling trips slow to a 10000:1 crawl, and all disposable income goes strictly into the toy of choice.

hahaha.. its about the same for me... it doesnt look like a good money year, so i'm thinkin save whatever i can and outfit the rigs.

Which toy is that?

I'm planning to wheel the third weekend in March. That's the end of my Spring Break. I might be down to wheel all of Spring Break. I dunno. I really have taken all of Spring Break off to help my dad with a new barn if he decideds to build it, so that 9 day stretch is open for me.

Well both are getting a lil but neither will see alot. I am going propane on the red truck, and I hope to have the 3rd t-case installed by the time the takeover comes around. the white extrashortbed is on its way to running. I'm having issues with the carb on the $100 20r I put in it, but it may be a vacume leak around the intake causing those problems. I will find out this weekend. The bed is 1/2 done at the bodyshop, and I hope to have the truck driving by the time it is. Then I have to find some tires, switch it to 4.30 gears and install the lockright in the rear to pretty much finnish up my dd/ww project.

When the extrashortbed is driveable, I'm gonna tear back into the red truck for some sort of buggy type project. I still havent tossed around all the ideas on that one yet. I may just seperate the body and drive/powertrain then start fresh.....I dunno. I highly doubt I get around to the buggy this year though. Its to easy to put off to the side when I have a perfectly good rig to wheel as it is.

Glen Get up here and we will get u taken care of, and bring that tube. I need an excuse to put the bender mounts in the new shop floor anyhow.

will you be able to come down in the car at least for a meeting?? we need to organize who will be leading guided runs in August for National Takeover

* Gather guides needed for trail guide run

Arkansas guys, we need to make some plans here, so we need to pic a date in March to meet at the park, get a fresh map and hilight the trails each individual guide team will be running and pre run them, charting the time it takes on each trail section, and who does what trail in my notebook, when i get home after said meeting i will make copies of the list and send out to all the guide teams (trail leader and gunner)

May be a change in plans but I hope to still make the Mgrs Special. I became a Pa-Paw last night and lots of activity around here getting ready to bring the little guy home!!

As for a favorite trail - you'd probably be surprised. I actually like all the Slammer- Gorge trails a lot, Four Fingers, Gregs Rock, UA, Shaftners, stuff like that. I run a 5 now and then but get no thrill from the hill climb kind of stuff. That said, I'll try anything once!

Yea coming down in the car would be totally doable as long as fuel prices stay down. What dates do you have in mind? What other activities are planned? Mabye some trail preruns, and timetable setups, as far as the event? Are the texas guys joining us for this?

Second. I can't make the first option. This is our spring break, and I plan to wheel until my tires fall off :D I only hope I can be so lucky!!!

March 21st is gonna' probably be tough for me. . . . that's our spring break starting weekend. I need to do some ground work to determine what the family plans are for then.

Michael, if I get everything worked out, maybe we can take the boys down together, Colton loves camping down there. If weather is nasty, we might need a good hotel option? I'm guessing you are not planning to have the white truck ready for March?

Its all about a cheap trip for me so, if I can't camp, then I'm gonna see if I can share Glens sofa again. Sharing a campsite seems like the most cost effective option though. My treat this time.

I'd love to get the white truck going by then. I won't have any tires for it by then, but my bro in law has some 33's I can squeeze under it. If hed let me borrow em for the weekend, I'd like to get some drive time on some 3s. I'd need to weld the rear by then also. It is kinda scarry driving an untested truck that far, wheeling it, then trying to drive back.

It still wouldn't hang on the trails I need to map out, and prerun for the upcoming TTORA event. I guess I just typed myself out of that option.

Stacy, what happened to you stopping by this week? Did you get the tubing situation figured out?

OldTruck
02-21-2009, 10:08 PM
Sorry I hadn't gotten by to see your setup. Maybe tomorrow? Sunday afternoon is usually a pretty laid back few hours for me.
The tubing deal is still on the table, it's all about having the $$$ at the same time I got the time to deal w/ it.
I'm still working on the 20th weekend . . .

So, we're still on for the pre-run on the 21st, right? I could do the 20th if someone wanted to go with me.

Is there an official thread for this pre-run?

As far as I know, we're still on.

Myself, Lance, and Brent will probably be there.

I guess we could start a thread.
