Where do installers put alarms?

I was wondering where in general installers are mounting the alarm brains when they put them in our trucks? I want to change out the POS alarm the dealer gave me with something nicer. I need to find what they put and where they put it so I can replace it.

Well, I called the dealership...and he volunteer the info...without any questions...sketchy.
