I'm thinking about it, my tires have just about had it. I noticed a nice slit in one of em, so I'm gonna need some. Its pretty obvious from the vid the Swappers just don't cut it in the wet stuff.

Well first of all, they are not as easy to get as you think. Second, you cant just get red label Krawlers from any retailer in Phoenix or anywhere else. Best bet is PBB and stand in line for a good deal.
Now, blue labels you can get anywhere but dont expect they will perform as good as red's. I've seen these in action and do think they work very well for a DOT tire but they are overpriced and perform as good as any other tire.

OK, Thanks for the heads up, I didn't know there were two different types. So these are strickly off road tires right. So if I went with Swamper TSL/SX's they would be just as good as the blue labels?

Yes, not for highway use.
Dustin runs the SX's and seem to work well but I still think the blues will out do them. If I had a choice between DOT tires, they would be the new MTR's since I had very good luck when I ran my 37's.Do not go with Maxxis, I fawkin hated them and wish I would of stayed with MTR's.:2cents:

next best thing to if you cant run a krawler are SXs IMO mine do well and Im going to try running water soon too. If I ever have a chance to get my hands on some reds i want to try them. I have beat up my SXs and they take every bit of it. key is to run them low on air about 4lbs have been working for me

hey merman, why did you hate the maxxis tires? I will be needing some new 37's soon and was going look at maxxis(creepy's) or krawlers(blues) or the new MTR's. I need a dot tire, gotta drive my junk where ever i go.

They just dont bite as good as I thought they would. You need to break them in good which takes allot of wheeling or lots of time on the hand grinder(God that sucked:suicide:) for them to KINDA hook up. Sure they are tough as fuck but I prefer traction over durability. All it takes is lots of attention and smart moves to keep MTR's alive since sidewall weakness is the problem with them. To be honest, I never had one go on me in 2yrs of wheeling when I had 37s. Then tried out 4d's in the MTR and had way too much problems because of all the sidewall meat.

Thanks for your:2cents: looks like i have some more to think about.
I'll probably wait until after summer. (better start saving my pennys)
I'm running ssr's right now and really don't like them, their super chunked up don't stick for shit. got a good deal on them when i bought them, but sometimes
a good deal isn't such a good deal. should of saved my $$ and got something better. oh well live & learn. thanks again

So, what do you think your going to buy now. I have been looking online and don't see crawlers in 37's and 15's, only 17's. Anyone know if they make em?

They only come in 17s in a 37". You can get 15s in a 35"..blues that is.

I have been happy with my maxxis cc they arent stickys but i think they do well for a dot tire. Unless you know someone sticky krawlers especially in a 37 are near impossible to find. I am going to get a set of sticky 37" Maxxis treapadors next. Almost as sticky as the krawler but quite a bit tougher sidewalls. And they seem to be alot easier to get ahold of.:2cents:

I have run mtr's since day one and they did really well for me, never cut a sidewall and they walked almost everything i touched-as long as its dry-get em wet and your completely fucked. That and the lug seperation was the only problem I had with em. Now I have the sx's and only got one trip in with em they worked really well in the morning with like 5 psi but then as the day went on and it got hotter I am sure the pressures changed and traction started to drop-that and I had a few other issues that day :D
If you can find em get the reds, if you need a street tire I would stick with the MTR's and thats only because I havent driven the truck on the road with the Sx's and probably never will :2cents:

Seems like the longer MT/R's bake in the sun the better the sidewall gets; just a theory from what I've seen so calm the fawk down you tire nazis :D

After running both Maxxis and now my BFG reds I would not go back to Maxxis at all. If I could not get another set of reds I would go with regular Krawlers before I went back to Maxxis. Like Uriel said the sidewalls are nearly indestructible but the traction is just not there without a lot of break in. Just keep your eyes on PBB and usually if your quick enough you can get a good deal on some BFG's.

anyone know what is the fine if you are caught driving a non dot tire on the road? or beadlocks for that matter? like I said, I gotta drive my junk to the trails, and hopefullly drive it back home:D so a dot tire would proably be best for me. anyone have an opinion on a bfg km2 vs a mtr? or just stick with a bfg krawler (blue)??

You can't get 37's for 15" wheels in the blues, you gonna buy new wheels too.

I have never heard of anyone actually being stopped for beadlocks since most cops dont know how to tell the difference especially with all the fake beadlocks these days. And as fast as stickys wear it wouldnt take long at all to wear them out with daily driving.

Wow, what someone die and leave ya a bunch of coins, lol. For me I can't afford the price of them and new wheels too. So its blues in 35's or something else.

Nope, no one died. Figured if I'm going to buy new tires. I might as well get some good ones. If that means I should /have to buy some rims too then, so be it. Maybe, I'll get lucky and find a used set of rims when I'm ready to buy some..

You can proably get one cheap from AZRain. I don't think there is much wrong with his but he's either just to dumb or too damn lazy to fix it. It's a 22 though so it's kinda small. Shouldn't matter much to you though, as I recall you're trailer trash.
