Hi all, I'm trying to find out which markets had the diesel engine with a 12v starter and which had the 24v version. It seems there are both types available (with the diesel engine) but where and more importantly why offer two versions?
To add to the confusion some owners have reported having a starter clearly marked 12v and yet having the 24v relay fitted switching the twin batteries into series i.e.24v, perhaps this is the answer to the solenoid contacts burning issue?
I planning an expedition LC 80 build and I am trying to simplify the wiring with the addition of an auxiliary battery or two, if I could run a 12v starter it would make wiring a whole lot simpler.
TIA
regards
Dave
