Front: 85 axle,5.29 lockright locker, pipe cap diff armor, 30 spline longfields and long's hub gears in the aisin hubs, connected with a long slip driveshaft kit from allpro. Trail Gear highsteer crossover steering, and ubolt flip kit, along with some gabril long travel shocks

Rear: 87 wide rear 5.29 r&p welded, with disc brakes using nova calipers, and gm rotors long travel rancho shocks, and a ubolt flip

Front suspension is my verry own super soft rears up front made from 2 packs of rear springs. The rear suspension is still stock other than a 2 1/2 inch tall block. This thing pulls its self verry well and is a verry capable rig. It has had all the right stuff done to it, and needs verry little to handle the most extreme trails. It is daily driver ready except for a little death wobble probably due to the weld on beadlocks and unbalanced tires. The tires are super swamper 35x15.50x15 bias and there are 5 of them all mounted on 15x10 steel wheels on weld on beadlocks. All the tires have like new tread, and only have 3 trips on the rocks. The spare currently has a tube due to a little sidewall cut that can probably be vulcanized.

Thios thing has almost no rust, and verry straight body panels.

I agree with Cory about the auto...

...except for when you have duals and 4.7s. Easier to keep consistent throttle with a manual and stupid low gearing me thinks.

Oh, I have nothing against auto trannies.. Just this particular one which is expensive to add another t-case behind it.

actually, there are a lot more options to do a doubler to an auto... keith was looking at a few months ago and found a few options... he would know what they were and how much they cost.

another nice thing on autos... they hide lacking gears real well. I've gone from 31's to 35's with my auto and havent noticed any huge differences.

that is very impressive. before i bought my 87 i almost bought a mint 89 4runner, but it was an auto so i passed wish i would of researched. I have wheeled with an 85 4runner auto and for what its worth it did great. the guy always drove one foot on gas one foot on break and went everywhere.

Lance's 1 ton rig and Mikeys buggy both run toyota automatic a340h trannys. They built custon block off plates between the tranny and the gear reduction housing of the old t-case. Ths dosent allow the fluid to dump rapidly into the now empty t-case housing. To make it even better Mikey runs his auto without any of the factory computer or wiring which looses his overdrive gear, but gains him the ability to make the auto hold whatever gear is chosen. This auto has its downfals but it also has its good atributes.
