I'm thinking about mounting a basket on my Fiberglass bed cover.

Does anyone have pics of this, so I can see what it could possibly look like.

Seems like it could be a cool idea, but don't want it to look retarded.

Better make sure that cover is strong enough to do the job or all the shit you pile on it will end up IN the bed where it belongs.

I've seen some pretty good looking above the bed racks to layer camping gear - but nothing other than a surf board rack bolted directly to a cover.

May as well try it.

Yeah I was thinking for it mainly to mount my bike and or kayak. Maybe even a waterproof case/pack for lighter stuff on a road trip. Maybe even cb antenna and back up lights. Kind of like what you could see on the normal roof racks. Nothing too heavy. However, I've locked my keys in the truck a few time and had my fat ass on it crawling through the rear window.

Well in that case (light weight stuff), you may be interested in the pictures found here. (http://www.backcountryracks.com/trucks.html) Some good ideas here and there, and some kind of rack directly bolted to a cover.

I was struggling with that as well this is what I came up with. Long cap rails for the rack to help support the weight and Baja Rack for the basket.
