Hi all, I'm the guy who bought Miguel's rig (http://www.ttora.com/forum/showthread.php?t=136843) last Sunday, and now I want to take it out to play with it. I have very little real offroading experience, but I want to learn. So, I'm going to take it to Barney Riley this weekend (Sat-Sun) for my first run. (Barney Riley because your description of it makes it seem fairly painless to do for a noob, especially for this rig).
If anyone feels like running the trail with me, that would be great.
Thanks,
-Vince

Congrats on the buy.
Sad to see guys forced to sell their trucks but it is great to see it stay in the TTORA family.

I agree that it sucks for guys to be forced to sell their toys, especially when they've poured so much heart and soul (and dough) into a rig like this one. Miguel and I have spent alot of time yakking about his truck, and he asked that I keep him up to date about whatever changes I make to it.
I certainly want to be worthy of his buildup, so that's why I'm taking it out right away :D

I'm sure this rig can do more than this. I think Miguel chickened out and didn't want to push it.

Yea its definitely good to see it stay in the family. Make sure you don't go alone, that's the first rule of wheeling. Were going to hollister on the 23rd and thatd definitely be a good place for you to build confidence

I saw that Hollister thread. I'm definitely thinking hard about joining you all on that run. It would be great to meet some of the crew (especially after some of the stuff I've read here )

Haha, none of us ever do anything bad, never... But yea that's definitely a capable truck, but I would start somewhere that there are plenty of others around to help you get thru stuff. I know I'd totally trust my truck to the spotting skills of most of these guys here. So just a suggestion but if u do go to barney let us know so if anything happens everyone knows where your at
