2005 tacoma air bag light

Hello everyone i have a 2005 toyota tacoma with a six inch lift 35inch tires. its been about 2 years since i put my lift on and about 5 months since i have been off-roading. out of no where my air bag light went on and i have no idea why :confused:. can anybody help me out with this??? also, i have never been an a accident truck has 45k miles.

There's a specific folder on this forum for 2005 and later model trucks.


Does your horn still work? Do you have any problems with any of the steering wheel controls (cruise control)? If so, it's probable that you've damaged (or worn out) a device called a 'spiral cable' or 'clockspring cable' that's inside the steering column. If your only symptom is the Air Bag, your only option might be to have a dealership 'read' the cpu to find the source of the problem.
